On January 18, 2016, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered the draft law No. 3781 "On amendments to Law of Ukraine "On procedure of elaboration of draft new Constitution of Ukraine" in compliance with the Law of Ukraine "On Regulations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine" and the effective Constitution of Ukraine (Article 93).
The draft law was registered after receipt of a letter confirming absence of any objections from the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy and Justice.
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy and Justice is determined as the central Committee. The Committee on Rules of Parliamentary Procedure and Support to Work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget Affairs, Verkhovna Rada Committee on Corruption Prevention and Counteraction and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on European Integration have also been involved in the work.
